For those of you who are new here I will give you a bit of my background and story behind our online boutique, for those of you who know me - welcome back!

Corporately, I spent over 25 years in Human Resources with some amazing national Canadian companies. I was lucky enough to retire fairly early and although I loved the gift of time and flexibility in my new schedule, I also missed making connections, supporting people and I felt like I needed a creative outlet.

I started a small online store which quickly morphed into an actual physical store here in Orillia/Severn - called Northern Birch Boutique. We sold women’s clothing, accessories and giftware - and had a blast doing it! Then Covid - we quickly created an online store and creative ways to offer products to our amazing clients - curbside pick ups, local deliveries, mystery bags and Instagram live sales. It was so much fun and our business grew so quickly. We had the best clients and our Northern Birch Community was fun, supportive and brought us so much joy. 

Sadly in 2021 I lost my Dad suddenly and unexpectedly as well as an elderly Uncle that I took care of only three weeks after my dad passed away. On top of that I had to have my thyroid removed just a week after that. It was all a bit too much too quickly and although the girls that worked with me were amazing and covered everything, I just seemed to lose my passion for it. I needed time to grieve and heal and that’s what I did.
